The high-temperature metal/metal oxide battery consists of a storage material in combination with a reversible fuel cell. The processes at the oxygen electrode during charging and discharging are not fully understood yet. In order to gain an insight into the mechanism, electrochemical methods as votammetry, chronoamperometry and impedance spectroscopy are being applied. Here, the focus is on the determination of relevant electrochemical and kinetic parameters.
